How to Set Up ChatGPT So It Writes Like You

Make ChatGPT write like you: extract a style profile from your own writing, set custom instructions, a Project and memory, and see the before-and-after.

You've asked ChatGPT to draft an email, a post, a note to the team, and every time you've rewritten half of it. Not because it was wrong. Because it wasn't you. Too smooth, too long, too many "Best regards" closers you would never type.

Telling it "be more casual" doesn't fix this. Casual is not a voice. Your voice is a set of habits: how long your sentences run, what you do with a comma, how you open, how you get out. ChatGPT can copy those habits, but only if you hand them over in a form it keeps between chats.

There is no "upload your writing" button on a normal ChatGPT account. OpenAI is testing one, but only inside ChatGPT Work, and that's covered at the end. For everyone else the setup is four parts: a style profile extracted from your own writing, custom instructions to carry it, a Project to hold your samples, and memory to fill in the rest.
