How to Use AI to Prepare for a Job Interview: A 9-Step Guide

A nine-step AI routine to research the role, practise your answers and walk into your next interview feeling prepared.

Most interview prep is passive. You read the company's About page, skim a list of common interview questions, rehearse your weaknesses-that-are-secretly-strengths answer, and hope. AI makes it active. You can run the actual interview, get real-time feedback on your answers, and fix the weak ones before they matter.

Here is the routine. It takes about two hours spread across the days before the interview, and every stage has a prompt you can copy.

Step one: give it the raw materials

Everything starts with two documents: the job listing and your CV or resume. Paste both into a fresh chat.

Here's a job listing I'm interviewing for and here's my CV. Study both. First, tell me what this role is really about beneath the corporate wording, what problems this person is being hired to solve. Then tell me honestly where my CV is strong for this role and where the gaps are. Don't reassure me. I need the real picture before the interview does it for me.
